(Caution:too lengthy, am sorry for it. but should be interesting. Read it)
What comes to your mind when you hear these words? The punishment you got when you were child for eating mud, a part of it? Throwing stones at Mangoes hanging in the neighbor’s tree? Digging the garden at school as a part of extra-curricular activity to plant the Neem tree? The war, that nearly all the nations are indulged over the issue of boundaries from the time he knew the value of power?
Anything may come to your mind… it may be good or bad… sweet or sour... it is LAND that you know. Here I am telling what I think about this vast thing which is accommodating all of us.
70% of the visible earth is Land practically, but whole 100% is land theoretically. It is actually a small piece of rock fell into Sun’s orbit and is now accommodating whatever it is having now. I am not going to bore you people with the history of it, sure don’t worry, that was just an intro for it, atleast it is worth this much.
Land has been the base for everything. But now what are we all doing? How many people really respect the land and tell it is universally common and no one can own it? Everyone wants a piece of her like a dog waiting for its meat. People think they are great to own a tiny piece of land and construct or use it for anything that they think is apt for it. I don’t tell that we need not own any piece of land but am asking is that more great than feeding someone esp. the malnutrition child you can easily find in African countries and we have such children’s in our own nation.
This is not to tell that ‘don’t have a house’. Have it only for your need. What is the fun in possessing a house for 21 stories or a house of 50,000 Sq.ft.? Even though this world will think it as wonder and the architects can put in all their creativity, is it worth that much pain when there are people without even a proper roof over their head to escape the sun and rain?
People think. There is Himalayan difference between need and luxury. When everyone’s need is done then we can seek luxury, but when people struggle to survive only how can we seek it? Am not telling you all to remove all your brands and wear simple attire and sell of your things and help them out right away (but that is what I mean here. if someone is ready to that I will really appreciate it and salute it. Even am not doing that. Which makes me feel like a @#@$%), but you can do simple things to help people out.
And one more thing on the same issue, what is the present market of real estate? People living in city must really know the meaning of it exactly. There are crorepathi farmers in Hyderabad just because of one reason that they had lands in the mountains of Banjara hills, Jublee hills, Gachibowli where only bushes and rocks grow, this is true. But just because of the real estate push, it is all happening. Now what is the problem for me if the real estate is booming? Actually the real estate is not booming it is grown artificially by people who are getting crazy about money and power and whatnot. These people are sick, sick to the core, they are the useless thing (but not completely, see they are helpful for me to write a blog) on the face of earth.
I am not here to complain on things. Am telling this to make a small difference or initiate a bigger change by my small try. People….. people…. People….. think….. you are all here to make difference, make it.

Hi, thanks for visiting my blog. The piece titled "Tantrika" is not written by me, but by an author called Asra Q. Nomani - her name is mentioned at the end of the post.
The Book of Mirdad has been out of print for a while but I did come across a copy of it at a bookstore in Delhi - not sure if it's available in Bangalore but maybe you could request Crossword etc to order a copy for you.
